My entire career has been idea focused, consumer centric, and results driven.
Starting out as a commercial photographer in NYC I produced still-life and fashion photography for national and international campaigns. Over the years I have worked for brands such as Revlon, Ralph Lauren, Porsche, FAO Schwarz, Seagrams, Panasonic, and Chase Manhattan Bank among others. I’ve worked with some of the most talented and most demanding creative people imaginable, always collaborating to create stunning work that delivered results.
I have learned that strategy is the driving force of any business – large or small.
Strategic planning can capture the organizations vision for the future helping it embrace true innovation, while accelerating programatic results that lead to long-term growth, profit, and sustainability. I have been on the front-lines developing 30,000 conceptual ideas that disrupt the status-quo, while also thriving deep in the trenches with rolled-up sleeves managing the entire tactical execution of complex, multi-channel marketing and communication projects.
Peter F. Drucker once said, “Strategy is a commodity, execution is an art.”
Gary Vaynerchuk said, “When it all comes down to it, nothing trumps execution.” and Thomas Edison said, “Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety nine percent perspiration.” I have learned it all boils down to making things happen. Ideas are cheap. This one principle must be the driving force behind any strategic planning process. Great plans, or even mediocre plans, executed well and ahead of your competition, will provide better results than not executing a plan. Simple!
For two decades nonprofit management and fundraising has been my passion.
From leading a $25 million nonprofit as the CEO, to heading up the marketing and fundraising efforts for a $100 million international nonprofit, to assisting a tiny local nonprofit with the basic task of setting up a database, I’ve seen it all. But the greatest part is helping change lives, seeing an impact being made, and working side by side with dedicated professionals who share their talents for the greater good.
