Three Fundraising Predications for 2016
The year 2016 is going to be an interesting year. The term “hang on” comes to mind. The stock market is down significantly – maybe plunging is a better word. Add to the mix a year filled with presidential election drama that can best be described as entertaining.
Then top it all off with a tipping point: the decline of traditional fundraising methods into a new phase of communication that is best explained through a concept coined by Brian Solis – the Ultimate Moment of Truth or UMOT. It’s akin to Google’s Zero Movement of Truth (ZMOT) but based more on Shared Experience, not Google searches.
There is no question about it, we are in new and uncharted territory. So brace yourself if you work in the nonprofit sector. Fundraising is going to be impacted dramatically by several factors this year and the years to come. I have three, perhaps four, predictions that I will share over the course of the next few posts.
The first prediction focuses on Connectivity. I will go into detail in the next post. But for a warm up read this ARTICLE.
